Can someone explain Tom Coburn's position on health care?
He does not like the insurance companies BUT he does not want the government to enact laws to remedy insurance company abuses because it infringes on freedom. He thinks the government spends too much money BUT he does not want to save money by determining the most effective practices in health care. He is against abortion BUT spending money on kids who do not have health care is a selfish act by liberals.

2. He's clearly a member of "the Family."
I watched several of them on C-Span the other morning,
bashing the abortion section of the bill.
No other remarks, just abortion bashing.

These are dangerous people in Washington, the "Family" members.
Both side of the aisle people, both sides.

3. Listening to his speeches on the Senate floor,
he is the genius that knows just what to do to fix health care, but I have never heard him spell out exactly what he is talking about. He might actually have some good ideas, but his attitude probably killed any chance of them getting the light of day.

5. Jesus is coming soon so health care is unnecessary...
Really, if you believe that everything that happens to every individual is directed by God as punishment or reward, no explanation is needed.

6. Beggary. That is if you don't have enough money...
to pay for health care, then you better have a cardboard sign handy.

7. Get your neighbors to help you out.
That's what he told one of his constituents whose husband had a brain injury that the insurance company refused to cover. He also reminded her that "government is not the solution!"

8. Yes. Picture a panda bear fucking a tuba.
Then do a lot of illegal drugs.

That's Tom Coburn's position on most anything.
