Hey! Just try to MAKE ME buy mandatory insurance
--for $125/month, as HR 676 currently requires. No deductibles, smaller co-pays. I'd do it in a New York minute! I'd do it in the Netherlands for 100 euros a month too.

Useless overpriced crap ($450/month AFTER subsidy) that leaves me on the hook for 30% of expenses? Fuck that shit straight to hell.

1. The entirety of the insurance business industry needs to be left out in the cold
Unfortunately, that's unlikely. Politicians have to beg the mega-rich insurance companies for $ to run for office or they won't be able to run.

If only we didn't have an election system based upon being forced to beg the rich for money, we wouldn't have problems like these.

6. Yes, I have a shitty overpriced age-rated plan
However now, if it ever comes to a conflict between paying for ongoing medical expenses and paying for shitty "coverage" that doesn't handle these expenses, I can choose care without getting the IRS on my case.

11. You mean they aren't going to make 50-64 year olds into disposable human garbage
--by forcing us to pay three times as much for mandatory underinsurance? Wake me when it's over. With no TV, I never watch in real time--only online later.

9. Sounds fantastic
I'd drop my far more expensive plan that has a $5,000 deductible so fast the insurance company would feel the sonic boom.

12. It's getting too complicated for me
And it isn't under my control anymore.

I'm just going to wait and see.

If what finally comes out of the House/Senate Committee is good for the people, find.

If what comes out is bad for the people...

14. I mean the whole process
The House Bill.

The Senate Bill.

Conflicting claims about what each bill does.

What will come out of in the House/Senate Committee.

I'm in wait-and-see mode.
