Bart Stupak - Is He Being Challenged In The Primaries, And By Who? |
|
Since he apparently sees health care reform as a great opportunity to limit reproductive rights, is he facing any challenge in the primaries?

3. No, I meant Obama will probably campaign for Stupak |

Even if we all think he's a dick its tradition for the party to campaign for party members running for reelection.
As the party figurehead I cant see Obama not campaigning for him, much like the party supported Lieberman in his last primary.

He's been in office since 1993. He got 65 percent of the vote last time. He already has more money in the bank today than his last opponent raised during the entire 2008 campaign. And his position on abortion is not something new. In 2008, he got a miserable 8 percent rating from Planned Parenthood and a 70 plus percent rating from the "national right to life committee".
He's not going anywhere.
