My disgust for the Repukes just spun out in overdrive
I heard somewhere on TV, a minute ago, that the Democrats asked for Senator Robert Byrd to be spared from having to come to the floor to cast his vote.
Oh no no no, not a chance.

The Republicans said it was not acceptable.
The 92 year old ailing man had to come in during this awful weather to cast his vote in person.
At 1 am last night.

How much does that suck?
Do these people even know what compassion even means, along with not being able to spell it?

Damn, that makes me angry.
They are hate filled critters, totally impotent lunatics, making a laughable power grab at the expense of an ancient man.

I just wanted you to know that happened, that's all.

2. Offensive has been taken to a whole new level.
Colburn went to the floor and asked people to pray that 1 senator wouldn't show up. Many interpreted that as praying for the death of Robert Byrd.

3. Even worse, Senator Coburn...
wanted to pray his enemies will suffer.

The article in this link explains why that pertains to Senator Byrd:

THAT made my blood boil over.

I'm sure Coburn was talking about Byrd...

I call on the distinguished gentleman from IL, Sen Durbin, to take his foot out of Sen. Coburn's ass

7. Ya Think??? LOL
I'm not surprised Colburn went the full rushbo on the Senate floor. Whatelse can these scumbags do other than bump their gums and try to get attention. To quote Senator Byrd..."shame, shame" (that should be the theme song of this Senate).

:hi:

an entirely new (lower) level).

6. Anyone Remember Terri Schaivo???
DeLay hammered in the House at midnight to ramrod what was a blatantly unconstitutional law in the House and did it at 1am. Or even better was his holding votes open for hours on end so he could bribe or intimidate enough votes. Most of those happened at 3am.

Senator Byrd wasn't too happy to have been there, but this is still his job. And his voice was amung the loudest when the cloture vote was held last night.

BTW...the rushpublicans sure didn't hestitate to dig Strom Thurmond out of his crypt when his vote was needed. Typical GOOP bullshit. Looks like I'm going to avoid the teevee until Ed Schultz comes on...

12. This is yet another example of the reason we all need
to direct our anger at the Republicans, rather than at Democrats who don't vote precisely as we would like. We need to constantly point out the pure evil that is the Gross Old Obstructionist Party (GOOP). We have elections in 2010. If we play our cards right, we could have an even larger majority. If we continue to snipe at each other, rather than focusing on the prize, we will not accomplish that.

It is our decision, as Democrats. What will we do?
