Medicaid expansion in the new bill.... any details?

MSNBC had a blurb about Medicaid expansion to cover individuals making up to $29,327 (I think, forgot exact number) a year.

Anyone out there know more about this? There is a thread from another DUer complaining that he/she makes about 30K a year and still can't afford coverage. I am also interested because many of the employees in the small business I work for make far less than 30K a year. The business is providing them health insurance right now but it is a rather large expense.

Any information on this provision, would be helpful.

Thank you.

2. The Medicaid Expansion is still in!
As far as I know, and you are right, it covers families with an income up to nearly $30,000. That's good news for lots of people!

3. Not if you are in a state like California/New York
Where it has a higher cost of living, so your wages are a little higher. Two adult family members in California can make over that and still be scraping by. Once again another handout to the Red States!!!

4. What about Community Health Centers?
They are going to get a big boost, and that is what we use now, since we don't have insurance. They have sliding scale fees, and they are every bit as good as any other doctor's office I've visited.

5. I have a thread on this.. it's entitled Medicare Buy in NOW... also
Thom Hartmann has much info on this. It's a real solution to everything. Easy, neat, cost neutral. Makes you wonder why they haven't done it.
