At first I was totally disillusioned, but when I found out that
Feingold was going to hold his nose and vote for the bill, it lifted a bit.

Then when I found out that Ted Kennedy would have voted for it, I didn't feel like throwing up anymore.

Maybe I even got back a little hope for change.

2. Well, nobody can really say what Ted would have done.
Just to be fair. A lot of people are raising up his name as endorsing this and we don't know what his words would have been this week.

5. Whatever floats your boat.
I'd recommend thinking for yourself, but, for many people, that's not enough. I understand.

Kill the bill.

Forcing people to buy insurance is no more the answer to a failed health care system than forcing people to buy houses is the solution to homelessness.

11. Thanks for the tip on my boat.
You sound quite wise.

I think I'll add you to my list of people who do my thinking for me.

6. I am still going to wait for the final bill
to issue my totally irrelevant opinion. Having said that, if I feel the mandates without a public option is a terrible idea, Feingold voting for it will not suddenly make it a good idea just because I usually support him.

8. Our reps are voting for the bill because they're politically compelled to.
Their captain, Obama, wants them to, and they know it.

It doesn't matter what's even in the bill, they're voting for it.

9. Ted Kennedy would have voted for it?
And what's the name of your afterlife contact?

10. It's a bad bill, but it's not the final bill
The House and Senate will have to hammer out a compromise on a lot of issues.

Then Obama has to hold his nose and sign what's left.

Until we get more conservatives in both parties out of Congress, it's probably the best we can expect.

12. I am under the full belief that this is only the beginning of HCR
and that there is good in that bill that will impact positiviely around 30mil people.

We didn't get in this mess overnight and there is no rule that says we can never change healthcare again ever.
