Letter - Day 3 - Where is yours?
Is this a failure of your morality, ambition, or lack of vision Mr. President? Has the bubble tunneled your perspective so much that your definition of what it means to win has changed? It is more than a question of character when you compromise the suffering that others will endure.

You choose a team full of ambition but lacked the imagination to seek more effective way to move government. Your job wasn’t to follow the path of others, and you did when you choose your White House team. They have led you believe that they would do things differently, that seems to be marketing too like the rest of your accomplishments.

If you truly want to transform the political landscape in this country you need a clean break. At this point we have all seen the end of this story before and we are disgusted by what you have done. You choose those who have little perspective beyond circles of power to spend your political capital, when a better perspective was warranted.

You put the insiders at the helm; they have done nothing but turn your promises hollow. Marketing is the only language they understand if you wanted someone to get something done you should have hired a community organizer! You’ve turned on your champions because the insiders told you we would be there at the end.

I sure hope that you gain some perspective and relieve yourself of their burdens. They may know every back door, every corner of the capitol, and every game of compromise. What they don’t know and what is essential for change, and you know it, is how to go through the front door. With a naïve and determined focus achieve change by drawing a moral line; those for the suffering of Americans and those against.

1. Here's mine. Short and sweet. Sent a few minutes ago.
Dear President Obama,

I was shown a picture yesterday. It was of a soldier in a casket, his wife holding their daughter, the daughter reaching for his lifeless body.

How many times does this scene need to be repeated at home and abroad before you realize that empire isn't worth such suffering?

As I have written before: you know who starts wars; you know who benefits from wars; and you know who is sent to die in those wars.

You've greeted the bodies of soldiers fallen in battle. You've written letters to their families. You've visited their graves at Arlington. Those actions are trivial when compared with what you could accomplish with a courageous stand against a meaningless war.

Regards,
G1984

2. He hired people with no moral dignity and he gets policy lacking
the morals and dignity we admired in him.

He hired people who are experts in seeing their own failures as successes. It is a pattern that protects the insiders from the perspective of their own failures.

4. They are sure working hard at it.
It's bad when you start seeing stories about the presidents dog. Trying to show the human side of the White House using a dog.

Transparency or transparent?

And, wow watching those insurance company stocks makes me wish that I too could put my morals in a drawer.
