Please, everybody. Can we agree to pass the Senate version and direct our energies |
|
to fixing it in the reconciling process? Especially the abortion language which seriously, cannot stand. If we don't pace ourselves now, we will be out of flames when the time comes. It's obvious they will pass it out tonight and our influence at this hour is at an end for that version. Take a break for the holidays and come back feisty and FEMINIST. You too, guys.

4. Will you agree to help me find insurance if my policy gets canceled in January? |
|
Will you make sure that the premiums are within my means. Please tell me what kind of insurance you have and then maybe I can make a shred of sense out of your post!

8. since they ditched the medicare buy in, I guess I'm SOL |
|
but I have a hunch that we must have a shred of a bill before we can make it better. So even though it makes no sense, I'm voting with Dr. Dean on this one.
BTW, if you agree to move to Denver I can get you in to the sliding scale free clinic system that we have had for decades for city and country residents without means. Please. I'd be happy to help.

Who knows where we will end up. I was just through Denver on the train, out to visit my sister in Idaho, who was put into an assisted living center by her 'loving' husband. Right now we are able to make ends meet but I don't know for how long. I was out for over a month and it is disgusting to see that the only thing that has happened on the health care front is the further selling out of the American people. It is time to remove benefits from our elected officials. Until that happens we will never, ever get the health coverage that is needed. Peace, Kim

5. not that it makes a difference now, but no. |
|
it should not be passed.
It is easier to introduce something into a bureaucracy than it is to extract it.

6. We don't pass bills. The Senate does. |
|
So no, "we" can't pass the Senate version, but the Senate will, whether we like it or not.
And since the bill WILL pass, the only real option is to try to castrate it's worst segments in the reconciling process. Which I'm sure all those of us currently angry about the bill itself will pay attention to.

7. Yes, we'll do it right along with 'fixing' the Wall Street Bailout Bill |
|
Plus, we're still working on fixing the military spending bill
