Rahm Emanuel is a punk. I just had to put it out there.
Everyone talks about how "tough" he is, with his "gritty, Chicago-style" politics. I simply don't see it. He's just another simp, a punk of his corporate overlords. Who's with me?

What else would drive someone to hurt so many people on such a mass level?

They all hate liberals b/c maybe they didn't get invited to sit with the cool, "creative types", so they have to spend the rest of their lives in Hitler mode, getting even.

33. I agree a hundred percent!
Punks are cool. I love punk music, punk style, and the punk DIY lef wing-anarchistic spirit.

Rahm Emmanuel is not a punk. He is a corporate lackey and a paragon of the DLC politic that sacrifices all Democratic values in the name of getting more money from corporations, getting the party away from traditional allies (like minorities, labor unions, and environmental organizations), and basically compromising principle for the hope of an easy win.

41. I've met him

I've met Rahm on several occasions. He was my Congressperson from IL district 5 and he lived a few blocks from my home.

He's a mean spirited, nasty egomaniac, with a Napoleon complex and a Hollywood agent brother, Ari who is just like Rahm. This guys would slit their own Mother's throat if they thought it would hep them out in any way.

Rahm never did a thing for the people of the 5th IL Congressional district.

I can't wait to hear the FBI tapes of the conversations Rahm and with the Impeached former Gov. Blagovich where Rahm is telling the then Gov, to make sure that a "seat warmer" runs for "his job". You see, at that point Rahm thought he would go back to the Congress and take over Nancy Palosi's position as Speaker of the House.

This man is a sociopathic shrimp.

Wake up folks.

Obama and Rahm ARE as much a part of the corporate overlords as the ones that sit on the corp's board of directors.

Why else would Obama appoint the Wall Street thugs that were a major player in our economic meltdown to these top administration posts?

Are you blind. He is a rough, tough, hard dealing, feisty, fighting, junk yard dog of a political animal.

Of course that only applies if you are a member of his own party and Not in the DLC. Otherwised he is a corporate lap dog and a compromiser of democratic values whenever he can do it. He would rather sacrifice every last Democratic principle and win than lose standing his ground.

36. He's definitely not tough. Remember how scared he was
during the scandal over Blagojevich? He was too cowardly to even answer the media's questions. I had hopes at that time that he would have to quit.

He's a wimpy, Rove wannabe. Always was. Nothing original about him, an ambitious, soulless operative who is not even that bright. And he's doing as much harm to this country as Rove did right now. When Obama put him in his cabinet, it was a really, really bad sign about Obama.

Dean is tougher than R.E. and he gets things done. I think Rahm helped destroy Clinton's chances of getting anything progressive done also. He's doing a good job on Obama also. I thought we were going to get rid of these old politicians who don't have much of a record of success as far as getting a Democratic agenda in place. He's all about 'winning', and he wouldn't even have done that without Dean, but that's about it.

37. How tough are you...
...if you would sell our democracy to a few greedy corporations?

I don't call that tough.

I call that a spoiled, rotten, selfish little toad.

These people are the antithesis of courageous heroes. Each of them is a little
Scott Farkas. They're little insecure punks who don't have the guts to do the right thing. It takes a strong
person to do have integrity and to be a real leader who people can respect.

These people constantly make ridiculous, poor choices. They're a bunch of back-slapping,
cocktail-party circuit termites who are too weak and too unwise to stand up to each
other and do the right thing.

Wussies. Every one of em.

48. More than ANYTHING Rahm loves and lust the power! The arrogance of the corporate DLC liar Emanuel
Edited on Tue Dec-22-09 07:08 PM by GreenTea
When Dean was chairman of the DNC and told the asshole Rahm who went to the DNC demanding money ONLY for his DLC candidates, insisting Dems just can't win in republican areas, (of course greedy corporate Emanuel was to proved wrong by Dean)....

Dean, told the completely out of line Emanuel that the money would be used instead for ALL democrats in all 50 states. NOT just DLC candidates as Emaneul was demanding. However, a very astute & strong, no bullshit Dean told the pimp Emanuel that there absolutely would be a 50 state strategy for ALL Dems and basically to fuck off Rahm!

The asshole Rahm went nuts & wanted DNC funds for his corporate moderate DLC "democrats" Dean rightly told Emanuel to fuck off and as it turned out Howard Dean was 100& absolutely correct.

Fucking corporate DLC, Emanuel, moderates, Blue-dogs & republicans all eat out of the same corporate troff.

Ever wonder why the extreme qualified progressive Dr. Howard Dean was passed over by DLC Obama & Emanuel for every and ALL White House appointed cabinet positions & departments?

This slimy shit has Rahm Emanuel's filthy hand prints all over it....

Emanuel just playing politics for image...fuck the people...just please the corporations as is the DLC motto and get this weaken, watered-down shit bill passed, and call it "REFORM".

While making this pile of shit bill the center of Obama's State of the Union Address next month and Rahm feels he's done his job and it's been a success and their on their way to 2012.

Fuck the people who are truly hurting & dying.

To this administration it's obvious it's was never about the people, they've never counted, Just a bill - any bill so say they got reform....it's so disheartening, that's all they were playing to...No wonder why obama never got behind a strong public option, and played along with the republican & Snowe & Lieberman when all Obama really wanted was a bill, any bill, a symbol...

Even if the bill does nothing to stop the insurance companies monopoly & greed, health care for obscene profits....just about image, something to parade around as victory...as we'll see again & again, uh (Afghanistan) pretending to be tough, playing to image, just getting the image & spin down to re-election 2012.

Just look at the way this corporate DLC laced administrations bends over for the Banks, embraces the insurance companies, sucks up to big oil & coal industries, caves into the military filthy rich weapons makers and on and on....

But, we all knew the conservative DLC was just a corporate take over of the democratic party.

Yet we were left with no other real choice, the corporate DLC have taken over the Democratic party and they just toss us crumbs to keep us quite!

All other candidates were smothered one way or another by the DLC and the corporate media, while bullshitting us into thinking that the DLC was actually liberal & progressive, because we wanted more than anything to believed it....In so much as we wanted anything, anything except the other 100% corporate fascist party, the republicans.

Always remember Rahm Emanuel screaming at Howard Dean, chair of the DNC because Rahm demanding more DNC money for his DLC candidates, but Dean wanted a fifty state strategy - (and of course Dean was correct).
