Veterans Affairs Executive Bonuses Highest of Any Government Agency
Last Month, OPM released its report on career executive bonuses for 2005. Of the 5,906 federal executives deemed eligible to receive this to receive this additional compensation, about two-thirds got bonuses. The average amount was $13,814.

According to OPM, The Veterans Affairs Department was the most generous; slightly over 75 percent of their career executives received bonuses that averaged $16,713. This was contrasted by just over half the Energy Department executives, who received $9,064 on Average.

I don't care that people get bonuses if they earned them. But The VA is broke and vets are getting cut. NO WAY SHOULD GET A DAM DIME.

facilitating the "privatization" of the VA, cutting corners, denying much needed staff increases, implementing crony software programs, burning out dedicated staff...

7. Lessee here,
Four thousand employees at thirteen thousand each means-what?
Fifty six million dollars.
Lotta bread. Of course, when one CEO gets a golden parachute, or the fact that that amount is less than two years of comedian Lush Rimjob's salary, it begins to look like small potatoes.

I'm lucky, I guess. My house is paid for-except for the eighteen hundred bucks a year in property taxes-and I have very spartan tastes, so I don't require a lot beyond some expensive medicines that keep my motor running. One of their "average" bonuses is almost as much as I bring in a year, total.
