Poll question: Our next issue should be .....
IMO, because the entire country has just witnessed the year long farce that was an attempt to reform Health Care, this is the best possible time to make our case against Lobbyists. I see no point to fighting any other battle without first trying to gain the high ground, or at least some more level terrain.

4. Need to tie this to Campaign Finance: "Lobbying BEFORE Elections".
Otherwise, yes, crack down on lobbyists.

5. Other. Campaign Finance reform
The biggies like Big insurance, big oil, big pharma, big tobacco, big everyone but us are ruling this country. It's time that we changed that. Federal funding and/or strict limits on how much anyone, and I mean anyone, can contribute to any candidate. There is no reason my employer should be able to contribute more than I can just because they pay me. Public servants are supposed to represent us, not corporations, so lets take away the corporate influence in campaign financing.

17. I kinda agree with them... but it can now be done through budget reconciliation in 2013
since most of the provisions don't phase in until then. This helps get the (D)s through the next 2 elections by claiming they accomplished something before anyone can prove it is FUBAR

But just for the record, I am still pro single payer. I just gave up on what I wanted so long ago I am willing to settle for this crappy bill.

9. Campaign finance reform
which ties into limiting lobbyist's influence on Congress.

I'd also like to see conflict of interest legislation limiting a particular Congressman/Senator's influence on legislation if they have an immediate family member who works in an industry that would directly benefit from that legislation.
