A LTTE of mine that got published in the Spokane Spokesman many years ago, got me people from, not only the USA, but Europe contacting me.

2. Bernard Bailyn and Gordon Wood, two of the great scholars of Revolutionary America

both published seminal works on the distribution of ideas and arguments via pamphlets, and their impact on molding the public mind prior to the American Revolution.

I suspect that blogs such as yours, and other online sources, play much the same role of information circulation.
