Health care reform should have taken the form of a constitutional amendment
Does anyone else feel that health care reform should have taken the form of a constitutional amendment? (Let's just assume it COULD pass for a minute)

So simple amendment to the constituation.... something like "All people in the United States shall have the right to health care. This shall be done through act of congress." Something along those lines and let the ball roll from that point?

2. What part of feeling good do you not understand?
Politics as a form of self expression.

The institutional roadblocks in the Senate pale by comparison to the obstacles in the path of a constitutional amendment.

4. Good idea. The odd against it, though, are 10,000 to 1.
So, it's a waste of time to wish for it, it seems to me.

5. The Preamble says "Promote the General Welfare"
Surprisingly, they left out the all-important "of corporations".
