Westboro hatemongers to protest Virginia Tech funerals...
you just knew "rev" Fred Phelps wouldn't be able to resist this, didn't you?

Oh, great is this man's sin. One day he'll be turned into a pillar of salt...

I feel dirty for even posting this.

notice that here he claims the violence is for sins against his Westboro Baptist Church, not God or Jesus.
I content this is evidence of his burgeoning megalomaniacal narcissitic paranoia....in other words he is becoming something more and more like Cho himself.

this is from the Denver Post:

A fringe church that has garnered attention and scorn for protesting funerals of troops killed in Iraq is planning to picket services for the victims of the Virginia Tech shootings.
Members of the Westboro Baptist Church have disrupted funerals across the country over the past few years with signs saying that deaths in Iraq are retribution triggered by America's tolerance of homosexuals.
A church news release says: "God is punishing America for her sodomite sins. The 33 massacred at Virginia Tech died for America's sins against WBC (Westboro Baptist Church). Just as U.S. soldiers dying in Iraq each day for America's sins against WBC."

1. I read here at DU
that they are not protesting because someone gave them THREE HOURS time on their talk show. It wasn't a progressive program, but it will give them a different platform from which to spew their hate, which appears to be what they want.

2. They were granted the radio air time?
When I read about this yesterday, they were basically exhorting people by saying that they wouldn't protesting "IF" they were given a 3 hour spot on air nationwide, IIRC.

3. I say, let them have the air time.
After all, what good is preaching a message if nobody hears it?

I hope those sons of bitches show up and try, JUST TRY to "protest" those funerals. Oh PLEASE, PLEASE SHOW UP...I'm begging ya!! These families and by extension, their friends and loved ones have been through so much. Somehow, I believe that we'll be reading about it if they try it this time. I have visions of ambulances and meat wagons if they pull this shyt at even one of these memorials. When they get out of intensive care, the Phelps' won't bother another grieving family.
