Heath Care: One thing to remember |
|
as much as I despise Corporate Dems and Conservadems...without them, this bill, any bill, would not have a chance to pass with Republicans being in total opposition of anything, and needing a filibuster proof vote...unfortunately, this is the best the party could do to get 60 votes, as these votes wouldn't even be here if they weren't conservative democrats in red districts...
and at the end of the day, i would much rather negotiate against a conservative democrat, who will ultimately vote for the bill if given incentives, versus Republicans who would never vote for it to begin with...

1. But the Republicans would vote for this bill |
|
Hell, the idea of mandated and subsidized insurance comes partly from the Republicans, and partly from the health insurance industry.
They just don't want Obama to score a "win". Fuck it. The Democrats should of let em shoulder this "win" on their own time, instead of attempting to score political points and pushing this shit through themselves.

2. It would be much better to do nothing. |

Kill the bill. Forcing people to buy insurance is no more the answer to a failed health care system than forcing people to buy houses is the solution to homelessness.
