Hardest Partier in the US Senate? Richard Burr of North Carolina
Burr tops list of parties, events

U.S. Sen. Richard Burr is the hardiest partier in Congress, according to a watchdog group that tracks fundraising events.

The Sunlight Foundation's Party Time blog has 35 fundraiser entries for Burr in its database, more than any other member of Congress.

Fundraising events and receptions are not routinely disclosed to the news media and the Party blog's work is not a complete list of all events.

Burr's events since June 2008 include golf outings and receptions at restaurants. They include events at private homes and one "Cigars and Cocktails" event (which was hosted by Rudy Giuliani).

In 2009, Party Time collected invitations for 3,660 parties and fundraisers for members of Congress.
