1. Walmart HQs are located in Bentonville, Arkansas
...but the WalMart Property Co. is located in Delaware to avoid paying state taxes?

So that's how the game is played!

2. yeah, lots of companies are "incorporated" in Delaware to avoid taxes.
Sort of like having a Cayman Island PO Box headquarters. Doesn't matter where you operate so much as where you're legally situated.

4. Walmart is the only department type of store within 80 miles (one way) from our home.
We live in a rural mining town and we shop there. Our Walmart is a basic one, not a super center.

I know, I'm an evil doer supporting the 'big man' but we both have full time jobs and going to the big city isn't an option.

Be gentle.

:scared:

5. Not counting, of course, the tax incentives and breaks they get from communities that are for some
reason terribly eager to have Wal-Mart poop on them.
