The only way to change this country... |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-22-09 06:29 PM by Bonn1997
according to Thom Hartmann is to hope that Supreme Court composition favorably changes by having successive Democratic Presidencies (and then get rid of corporate personhood). He acknowledges that the Congress could get rid of corporate personhood too through an Amendment but clearly won't. He argues that Pres. Obama has a lot less power than we think. I don't want to put words in his mouth but this is my understanding of what he's said on the radio and I agree entirely with him.

1. Ditch corporate personhood, |
|
reign in the banking industry, and invest in renewable energy and sustainable agriculture.
Nationalizing the Fed wouldn't be amiss either.

4. If President Obama sides with the big corporations every single time BUT appoints several |
|
progressive or even moderate, reasonable humans to the Supreme Court over the next seven years, I believe he will have done more good for the country in the long run than any other human over the past 40 years.
