Rick Sanchez Gets New CNN Show; 'Sit Room' Loses Hour

sanchez2_12-21.jpgRick Sanchez, who currently hosts the network's 3pmET hour of "CNN Newsroom," will be getting a new show, titled "Rick's List" in 2010.

Sanchez's program will now air for two hours, from 3-5pmET, and Wolf Blitzer's "Situation Room" will eventually be reduced from three hours to two, airing from 5-7pmET. Blitzer will also fill-in the 7-8pmET slot until John King's show launches early next year.

CNN tells us that Sanchez and Blitzer, appropriately, made the initial announcement themselves over twitter in order to get it out to their followers first (both have well over 100,000).

1. Despite my misgivings about Sanchez in the past...

...his show has proven to be worthy of my attention. This is good news, both because Sanchez puts on a good program, but also because the world will be subjected to one less hour of Leslie Blitzer.:thumbsup:

any time taken from wolfie is good news, and though I don't watch Rick often, I'm pleasantly surprised when I do.

Rick Sanchez has "caught up" on the issues recently. (Perhaps he was embarassed by the repeated showings of him having himself tased, and Keith's delight in showing it over and over).

And ANYthing that takes time away from that wretched neo-con AIPAC toady Blitzer is a good thing.
