Moyers, Moore and Maddow are the Most Influential Progressives
By Don Hazen, AlterNet

"The three M's -- Bill Moyers, Michael Moore and Rachel Maddow -- scored highest in a recent AlterNet survey* asking more than 5,000 readers to rate the most influential progressive media figures. Moyers, who scored 67.5, and Moore, with a 66.2 score, were very close. Maddow was a tad behind at 63.5."

5. Only Top 25?
Edited on Wed Dec-23-09 10:47 AM by 90-percent
The glaring omissions include

Thom Hartmann

Cenk

Bartcop

Dylan Ratigan

This will be fun.

I'm glad Keith and Robert Reich made it. They're both good people.

PS - Bill Moyers is indeed a NATIONAL TREASURE that is going to be retiring in, what, six months or so? Fortunately, Rachel is only what, like 33 or something? She can be our next NATIONAL TREASURE for the next few dismal decades!

7. Will we end up like the right with various media figures as 'party leaders'?
This is an interesting phenomenon. On second thought, is there any way BUT media to influence people these days?

8. Michael Moore
I am thankful I learned about Michael early on - back when Roger and Me was in theatrical release.

Question:

Didn't it seem like Capitalism, a Love Story, came and went pretty quickly? Why did that one kind of go over like a lead balloon?

I hope Michael has a few more releases like Canadian Bacon left in him! That was such a sweet, delightful, good hearted movie.

10. Among talking head pundits?
I would say the three most influential progressives are the President, the Speaker, and Majority Leader Reid.

13. You seriously call them "progressive"?
What do you call the actual progressives in this country, I wonder?
