Poll question: What will be the next big divisive Big Issue on DU? |
|
Edited on Wed Dec-23-09 11:38 AM by Armstead
Now that health care reform is moving towards being settled, what will be the next big issue that will draw us DUers to the keyboards to form circular firing squads, flame wars and other crazy-making antics?

10. Yep - it's a tricky issue |
|
And contentious. And it's one in which it is to easy to through out charges of "racism" or "lawlessness."

19. There's more disagreement than you think. |
|
It runs the range from fence builders to open borders. There's lots of people calling each other xenophobes and racists. Good times. :hide:

Many will say no, although Obama prmoised it would and all his fault.
A small minority will say of course it will, Obama's taking care of everything.
The rest of us will enjoy the sunrise and shake our heads :silly:

15. An assault on Social Security, |
|
you know it's coming, 'fiscal responsibility' and all that.
The administration has shown that it cares for neither the people nor political consideration. It will be interesting to see how the fault lines develop.
For myself, I hope it lights a fuse, mebbe a Million Old Farts March.

17. Other: the establishment/M$M will aid in the meme of the poor's uprising as being "terrorist" -like |
|
And the moderate voices here will dutifully defend and apologize for Big Brother's draconian tactics, the same way some of them will, for instance, defend a cop's unwarranted use of a taser on the detained and defenseless.
