Is the MSM changing news stories around again?
Edited on Wed Dec-23-09 07:17 PM by TwixVoy
Someone help me out here.... I could SWEAR TO GOD that earlier this month the MSM reported that housing sales last month were great. Now today the news is that housing sales last month were the worst since April. WTF?

Did I just dream the reports that said they were great? Does anyone else remember that?

Maybe I am just dreaming, but I could have sworn I read lots of reports early this month that housing sales last month were great.

3. "Reports" quoting the National Realtors Association are always cheery
The MSM always quotes the NRA press releases dutifully and uncritically since they purchase a lot of advertising. So the spin is enormous, always slanted to try to stimulate sales. Kind of like that termite-infested fire trap down the street that is creatively described as a "great fixer upper!!11!1"

Never mind the pesky details like the enormous shadow inventory (greater than the number of MLS listings in most metro areas.)
