It’s Not Even Good Kabuki
by One Pissed Off Liberal

Wed Dec 23, 2009 at 06:30:32 PM PST

................

This must be about the millionth time I’ve been screwed by my government. And yes, I’m referring to the health insurance sham, Hopelesshagen, Afghanistan and etcetera. You’d think I’d have learned to like it by now. But no matter how many times they’ve done it, no matter how utterly predictable it is or from how many miles away it can be seen coming, it just never gets any easier to take. I am, and have been, sick to my stomach.

It’s funny how after every major betrayal I get flooded with requests for money, like ‘we gotta keep fighting! Give us money to stand up for the American people! Hurry!’ They kick us in the teeth, piss on our heads and then promise to stop it if we’ll ‘send more money now!’

‘We’re fighting for you!’

Shameless fucking bastards.

5. Very sad--because it's true. n/t

Kill the bill.

Forcing people to buy insurance is no more the answer to a failed health care system than forcing people to buy houses is the solution to homelessness.

7. Just why is it that?

Why is it that the Obama Administration and the Senate Democrats are always willing to fight for things they say they don’t like?

Stuff like a HCR giveaway bill to health insurance companies, retroactive immunity for Telcos in the FISA Amendments Act, trillons in bailout money for too-big-to-fail financial institutions, and much more.

And why is it that the Obama Administration and the Senate Democrats are never willing to fight for things they say they do like?

Stuff like a Public Option, EFCA, Dawn Johnsen as OLC head, repeal of DOMA, repeal of DADT, re-instituting Glass–Steagall, and many, many more.

Just why is it that they’ll fight for stuff they claim not to like, and won’t fight for stuff they claim they do like?

Just why is it that?

He belonged to the Democratic Party of Martin Luther King Jr, The Kennedys and Wellstone --he isn't even an Demcorat, but Indie Senator Sanders of Vermont.

19. Its like a bad carnival scam, or the casino.
At the carnival, they rig the games so that you almost win, and keep coughing up the money.
The casinos are the same.
The almost win... just a few more dollars... keep on playing.
By the way, that is hustling on HOPE....coincidence?
Not to a good con.

laughed at him and said I'd like $100.00, too. Can't get blood from a turnip as the old saying goes.
