The real issue at hand is that Rahm
isn't doing anything on his own.

If anybody thinks he is running willy-nilly off the reservation, then I've got a resort in Dubai to sell you. He couldn't pull this off by himself in a brazillion years. All I see in that letter is 'Rahm this' and 'Rahm that.' If what he is doing wasn't approved of in a lot of places, he would have been yanked back a long time ago.

Jane wants Rahm and the rest to come clean and whatever. She wants his head on a platter as if that would cure all of the progressive ills.

Norquist wants to bring the government down by any means necessary and with anybody who can help in any way.

Be very careful what you wish for and with who you wish to accomplish it. You will probably get a lot you didn't want.

1. “The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply.”
Thank you.

2. Yep.
I had a sinking feeling when he named Rahm to that position. Now I feel stupid for not having expected it.

3. Did you even read the letter of complaint?
http://firedoglake.com/2009/12/23/jane-hamsher-grover-norquist-call-for-rahm-emmanuel%E2%80%99s-resignation/

DU, who went so self-righteous over an affair that was none of their business, wants to give an alleged corrupt politician who may have helped crash the economy, cost jobs, homes and retirements, a pass.

If he is corrupt, I wish to accomplish an orange jumpsuit for him whomever helps. You don't get a pass because you say that you are on the "right team". That's what the Republicons do.

6. Yes, I read the letter.
Rahm resigns. What changes???

I will go after Rahm without Norquist. I want nothing to do with helping him achieve his goals which are well beyond a resignation.

4. Allying yourself with Norquist in order to stop corruption
is akin to allying yourself with James Dobson to stop a theocratic takeover by the religious right.

7. Rahm can send all the dead fish he wants.
It's the shark you better watch out for, and it ain't Rahm.

8. Rahm is responsible for most of the blue down and dirty dogs and
that alone is worth getting rid of him for. That's why he is panning Dean. Dean had good candidates. Dean knew how to do it. RAHM IS JEALOUS OF DEAN.

10. Rahm didn't operate in a vacuum.
He wasn't made king with no oversight. We may not have seen anybody watching him or guiding him, but he did not do anything on his on.

11. Those that complain about Rahm are stuck in Stage One
Some people built Obama up into something he never was. Now they are going thru the "Stages of Grief"

1. Denial - "Obama is great, he just has bad advisers or the system won't let him do what he really wants"
2. Anger - "Obama sold us out to the corporations!"; "We need a revolution"
3. Bargaining - Writing letters, begging him to do something he is never going to do.
4. Depression - "I'm thru with the Democratic Party"
5. Acceptance - Hey, he's better than a Republican, but he is what he is.
