The persistent myth that Bernie sold out for goodies for Vermont.
It's flat out untrue. Bernie got 10 billion for Community Health Centers to be established and funded throughout the country. The CHCs do not provide universal healthcare but they do provide primary care, prescriptions and dental care on a sliding scale fee. They also take insurance. This is a big deal for millions of people. It will benefit a few thousand in Vermont because at most, VT will get 2 new CHCs. Vermont already has 6. More per capita than any other state. One sixth of the Vermont population receives primary care through this system.

Now you know. Want to insist that Bernie sold out? Fine, but at least get it right. He didn't sell out to get goodies for Vermont. He "sold out" to get primary care for millions of Americans who have NO health care at all.

7. You are right. Every state
deserves two Bernie Sanders. And both should be in the senate.

3. Community Health Centers? Great. Love it. Let's have more of them. But why mandate consumerism
and turn insurance companies -- the same entities helped screw up the system in the first place -- why make them quasi federal agencies with the power of the IRS to enforce debt collection?

Why not just get the hell out of Afghanistan and skip the mandate?

Oh, that's right. We have to feed BOTH the MIC and F.I.R.E industries via mandates and such. :eyes:

8. For the People Who Can't Afford Insurance
those can be hugely important, at least in the cities. It's much harder to cover the less populated areas.

10. I wish that Florida had a clone of Bernie Sanders!
A senator who actually gives a damn about his state more than his ego.
