This much (about the HCR legislation) I know:
It will help the working poor. Millions and millions of them.

It may not help the middle class. It may even hurt them. I don't know.

It will, alas, help the insurance companies.

The wealthy? They don't get hurt by any of this. ever.

But those just scraping by will get some much deserved relief.

And that's why, plug ugly as some of this legislation is, I'm glad it'll be enacted into law- hopefully with some improvements made during reconciliation.

1. We do NOT know that it will actually help anyone. They will get to experience the
denial of claims and outrageous co=pays and and the other lovely things that happen to us fortunate ones currently trapped in the corporate system.

It will probably further hurt the middle class because they can raise their rates and co-pays as high as they want (that cost plus gimmick for "limiting" corporate profit).

There is no doubt that it solidifies the corporate control over medical care.

Yes, the rich never suffer. Little consolation.

Those scraping by - we'll have to wait on that a well. Once they are in the system, let's see what further constraints are enacted to "hold down costs."

Pug-ugly it is. With very little redeeming value.

IMO.

2. yes, we do know it will help the poor.
10 billion for CHCs guarantees that. And as someone who pays $60 a month for private subsidized state administered good health insurance that enables me to access good health care, I know that can work too.
