TWEETY, YOU HYPOCRITICAL JERK...
His #1 "Cringeworthy" political moment of the decade was Bush Jr.s "Mission Accomplished" appearance...

TWEETY, AND I'M CAPITALIZING THIS BECAUSE I'M SHOUTING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS: YOU SACK OF SHIT...YOU WERE SO IMPRESSED BY HIS ERSATZ SCHLONG THAT YOU WERE ORGASMICALLY SINGING HIS PRAISES THAT DAY.

"At long last, have you no decency?"

THIS IS THE PINNACLE/NADIR OF HIS BROADCASTING CAREER...

...and I thought I'd heard everything out of his lying, slobbering mouth...

1. I remember that. I had to drive myself to the hospital and take a "Anti-Pukeitis" drug

3. This is exactly what he said
During the broadcast of the aircraft carrier stunt:

"We're proud of our president. Americans love having a guy as president, a guy who has a little swagger, who's physical, who's not a complicated guy like Clinton or even like Dukakis or Mondale, all those guys, McGovern. They want a guy who's president. Women like a guy who's president. Check it out. The women like this war. I think we like having a hero as our president. It's simple. We're not like the Brits."

5. So you'd rather he never recognized what a piece of crap moment that was?
I don't understand all these constant demands that people never learn from their mistakes.

13. Oh he didn't say he'd made a mistake,
he acted as though he'd figgered this out from the get-go.

Your post is not well-conceived, to be polite.

14. Except he didn't
Tweety talked about that moment as though he had contributed NOTHING to it. Not one mention of his own chill up the pant leg moment. I would say he learned NOTHING.

15. I don't care with what grace folks come around to the correct POV, and
I'll be happy they're wiser whether they act contrite or not. That's just me, you should feel any and all outrage you desire to feel.

16. The words "Grace" and "Tweety" probably don't
belong in the same sentence.

As you say, "That's just (you)"...and so wherever you go, there you are.

Cheers.

6. He seems to believe we have short attention spans, won't remember!
His ecstatic burbling over George W. Bush then showed a total lack of character. It wasn't a "mistake." It was a startling, horrifying revelation of a total whorish personality, a real eye-opener to anyone who had missed his vicious behavior toward Dennis Kucinich when he was campaigning during the primary, and went on Tweety's show.

11. Found a transcript on ThinkProgress, but coming up with nothing on video.

But oh, yes, I remember it pretty much as the transcript shows it transpired.
