Obama must plan on writing one hell of a Signing Statement.

He never said he wouldn't (mis)use it, the way GW did. Maybe he's going play chess after all.

A signing statement could tweak the hell out of that HC bill.

1. If he signs the bill as is (mandates with no federal public option of ANY kind),

he signs away his presidency, too, because all LIEberman, the conservadems, and the rethugs have to do stop Obama and the Dems is rinse and repeat. But I know Obama knows that.

2. he'll do whatever his paymasters, string-pullers, & Rahm tell him to do

he doesn't have the stomach to buck the system and really use his power to put his money where his mouth is. it's much safer, expedient, and more profitable, personally as well as professionally, to go along to get along. It's a win-win for THEM.
