If U.S. House seats were assigned using the July 1, 2009, numbers:
Texas would be the big winner, gaining three seats. Texas added more people from home and abroad than any other state this year - 231,539. That is more than Florida, Arizona, California, Nevada and Colorado, combined.
Six states would gain a single seat: South Carolina, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Utah, Washington
LOSERS
Ohio would lose two House seats.
Losing one seat would be: Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania.
