To react or not to react, that is the question....
I got the following email from a republican friend of mine.

"To All My Liberal Friends:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or explicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To All My Conservative Friends:
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

Should I just let it slide, or does someone have something equally provocative that I can send back to him.

3. why not let it go
unless you really find it offensive. i think it's kind of funny and it does
kind of fit since we liberals tend to be more inclusive, less judgemental.
i always said i'd be ok with prayer inschools if the prayers all started
"To whom it may concern, if there is a whom"

To all my right wing palsies:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or explicit, my best wishes for the safe America of your choice, where enemy combatants, even if they're your neighbors, can be arrested and waterboarded without an order of arrest before they can cause any permanent damage to our beloved America, in the name of Jesus Christ, which everyone knows is the only god of America, and of the Constitution, and who understands perfectly well that fiscal responsibility means that those lazy homeless people on the corner should be taught to fish and encouraged to stop pretending to be sick and helpless, where we can continue to have a choice of having health insurance or not, like those 87,000,000 people without insurance who have made their choice to carry none, and they shouldn't be accused of not being able to afford it, where little children no longer forced to turn gay through the use of the gay agenda, or aborted (in-vitro embryo disposal is a different story, as our pastors have told us so), where hard-working white people do not have to go jobless as less qualified blacks are given jobs they do not deserve, and where we can live in the freedom to kill moose from helicopters and look out our windows to make sure Russia is not preparing to attack us.
