1. He would be pissed if he knew we voted for a guy who didn't want it.

8. He knew that. The pro-Vietnam War "hardhats" of the Sixties were just as hate-filled,
ignorant, and vile back then as Freepers and teabaggers are today. Lennon undoubtedly witnessed their blockheaded hate-mongering and war-worshiping first-hand.

5. I wish it were that easy
The problem is, that our elected representatives don't do what the People want anymore.

How about healthcare? The People wanted a public option, and our President wanted a public option, and what did our weasel Senators do?

They gave us more corporate welfare for big insurance - at taxpayer expense!

They're not using your tax dollars to regulate the bad guys - they're giving your money to the bad guys!

And if the people had any say, things like the Iraq war would never have happened. I remember being in Madison WI just before the war started, and I saw little green signs on everyone's lawn, saying "No War In My Name". I swear to God they must have been on a full 50% of the Peoples' front lawns.

And that idiot Bush went ahead and did it anyway! And we got what we got - another trillion into debt, and now we have real enemies! Not just the imaginary ones the imbecile Bush claimed he was responding to.

I even worry about the Democrats. I think they've sold us out. Why else would they be ramming a trillion dollars of new debt down our throats, and coercing us into private insurance contracts we don't want?
