Man returns home to find his belongings gift-wrapped
Edited on Fri Dec-25-09 08:40 PM by Bluebear

CHICAGO - A Chicago man could be unwrapping the hundreds of Christmas gifts spread around his apartment for days, even weeks.

Trouble is, they aren't really presents. They're his own belongings meticulously wrapped by friends as a prank while he was out of town.

Louie Saunders' packages contain everything from couch cushions to the beer in his refrigerator.

His friend Adal Rifai masterminded the scheme after Saunders gave him a spare key. It took 16 people, 35 rolls of wrapping paper and eight hours to finish the job.

Saunders tells the Chicago Sun-Times he's only been able to unwrap about 10 percent of the packages.

He jokes that the upside is that, with each package he unwraps, he finds something inside that's just what he needs.

2. Oh come on. Wrapping paper is meant to be a waste.
I think it's a clever and funny idea.

He seems to have friends that care for him a great deal.

People that don't give a damn about you don't go to such lengths to be funny.

16. Trees are a renewable resourc and wrapping paper is recyclable
But we wouldn't want facts to get in the way of your way of thinking, so maybe just ignore what I have to say.

19. All ecosystems are stressed and deforestation is a major cause of climate change
but don't let THOSE facts get in the way of your blind consumerism.

20. IPCO maintains about 9 millions acres of forest that is in a constant state
of cut and growth. They *replace* the trees they cut down. See, *renewable*. If you want to hate on IPCO, go after what they do to water, not trees. But again, don't let the facts get in the way of your blind outrage. You wouldn't want to start making sense when you start arguing these issues with a conservative.

12. I once left town for a few weeks
and returned to find pink flames had been professionally painted on the hood and down one side of my Subaru wagon. I drove it like that for about 3 more years and never did get anyone to fess up.

18. We once wrapped the boss's office -- with him inside.
He opened the door to find it covered in gift wrap -- maybe it was newspaper (it's been a while). It was April 1.
