Redstate.com Against Filibuster Before They Were For It
Over at Redstate.com, they have a front page post up titled, The Filibuster is Essential For Democracy, where they argue:

The filibuster is essential for democracy, because it protects Americans from a tyranny of the majority, whether that majority be Democrats or Republicans.

What is hilarious, is that they did not even bother to do a quick google search to see what they might have said about the filibuster before...

3. actually, I have always been...
somewhat unsure about it. And I have never made a statement in the positive or negative for that reason. I see the value in providing the minority with the ability to fight like crazy against something, but I also find it frustrating that such a small segment of the country can hold legislation hostage. Like I said, I'm unsure about it.

You are right that many of the left opposed ending the filibuster and are in favor of it now.

5. At least I can say I'm consistent
I support the filibuster, even though it sucks for getting what I want through right now.

8. I certainly agree that....
if you are going to have a filibuster, you should actually have to filibuster. But that is way too logical for Capitol Hill.
