If we can't get everything in a year let's give up!

Hey, we want what we want! we want everything now!

Let's not care about who will take over later. You weren't perfect, let's give up! You suck you non-perfect!

We want GWB back, but we will take anyone that doesnt want to really do anything!

1. Got your flak jacket on, I hope?
Sadly certain people at Democratic Underground have no tolerance for Democrats.

Few recognize the truth in 'its not organized; its the DEMOCRATS!' it will probably ALWAYS be this way.

17. havent heard my opinion out of gibbs.
no matter how intuitive it seems, i havent heard gibbs or dean or axlerod or rahm admit that they won by being right of left dems with an african american candidate. the only people that claimed that obama was a lefty were gopers...

5. Yes, that seems to be the decision of some people.
I suspect that some people are more interested in having "enemies," and having things to scream about, than actually making things better. That's what some of the claims I've read at DU say to me, anyway.

12. from what? did you want a three page op? i'm not going to bother.
this country is conservative. they re-elected GWB. do you really think that after 1 year of a moderate dem, where half of the 'supposed left' in this country seems to have given up on DU, that we should proactively encourage everyone to stay home in 2010?

14. It stinks because you inherited a conservative goverment.
This country launched an invasion against an innocent country. This country reeelcted an incompetent leader. This country thinks that what happened in 1989 was because Gorden Gekko was right. This country doesnt know anything about

1) Realism

2) Materialism

Yes, you don't have a leftist government in power. Obama wouldn't have won as a leftist. A Real Leftist win happens in 2012 / 2016. Get Over It.

22. So what. In the next years, we can put on a new roof,
fix the windows, replace the wallboard and the floors, add insulation, put in a new heating/ventilation system, and expand and update as needed.

At least, we have the structure. The republicans didn't even want us to have the empty lot.

24. The whole point is that it is the very STRUCTURE put in place in the Senate bill that is wrong.

....and that all of the improvements you are mentioning would be built upon a faulty STRUCTURE.

If the framework put in place was sound, the presence (or lack) of bells and whistles would be a minor issue.

When people oppose a flawed basic structure, to accuse them of whining that they "did not gett everything they wanted", as the OP does, is disingenuous.

Edited on Sun Dec-27-09 06:07 PM by depakid
even when they don't believe in the policies that the politician or party is fighting for.

That's why the Dems are going to get thumped in 2010- and why it's entirely possible that Obama ends up a one term president.

Dehumanize your opponents, lie about them then act like you have no idea what they are talking about when they call you on it. Nice job.
