4. From looking at the full directive, it looks like this only applies to
international flights coming into the US from other nations and only lasts until December 30th.

Flying in from Sydney. And no, the Directive has extended here as boarding procedure from now on: (An additional security check at the gates for flights to the US).

6. ABC said tonight you'll need to be there an hour early (earlier) to accomodate the delay

(You can still bring in a fine shiraz- but it will have to be in the suitcase). Not sure what the deal is with duty free now.

Also, reports from Canada and the UK indicate only one carry on will be allowed. Glad I got out of the madhouse before that was put into place.

7. Is it the airline itself that makes that a permanent procedure? And
are they extending the no bathroom or things on lap an hour before landing, too?

Hell, I can't figure out what the no lap thing even means. Does that mean no books or magazines, if you're holding them in your lap? I'm just not understanding how this is supposed to be enforced and what it applies to. Sounds like a nightmare.

8. So the fuckers who create the environment which
breeds angry militants are exempt from the terror we now face in lines at airports. Isn't that swell. I detest strangers touching me - :puke:
