At least 10 Afghan civilians, including eight school children, killed by NATO forces in Afghanistan
. . . says Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

__Mr Karzai said the deaths occurred during an air strike in Eastern Kunar province two days ago.

Kunar governor Sayed Fazlullah Wahedi told the Reuters news agency officials could not visit the area "because of the presence of the Taliban".

Nato has said it will investigate the reports, said Reuters.

___Villagers in a remote part of northeastern Afghanistan have reported that an airstrike by foreign forces on Saturday night killed 10 civilians, the provincial governor said on Monday.

"It is a very rugged area, we cannot go there because of the presence of the Taliban. Elders of the village have told us that 10 people have been killed in this airstrike, eight of them school students," Kunar governor Sayed Fazlullah Wahedi told Reuters.

President Hamid Karzai in a statement issued on Monday also expressed his sadness over the death of 10 Afghan civilians in "military operations" in Kunar province and promised a probe into the incident.

1. Isn't it amazing we can get wall to wall real time coverage of balloon boy ...
... but we can't get one camera into Afghanistan to cover this kind of thing?

God bless America.

8. THey don't want anyone to know the real truth about the
slaughter of innocents. Sadly the people in Afghanistan, Pakistan, et al are aware of the truth.

Only people that DON'T know about the atrocities that are being committed in our name are the American people.

But if our Reps try telling the American people what is going on the Rethugs right away start with their standard "The Dems are emboldening the enemy.", line of BS.

And the media helps the Rethugs pull this off day after day.

3. It's called "job creation" as in creating more terrorists and supplying the troops that kill them.
It's a jobs thing.

6. Each incident like this is a propaganda victory for the Taliban.
More foreign occupiers killing our kids, they'll say, and they'll be right.

How does a multi-generational war sound? Big fun, eh?

10. It keeps getting worse.
Where is "The Light at the End of the Tunnel"?

Meet Hamid Karzai
or as Obama calls him, "The Government of Afghanistan".

He was appointed by Bush the Lesser to run Afghanistan.
He is one of the most despicable criminals in The World,
But NOW we like him so much
that our children will be sent to DIE in the deserts of Afghanistan to keep him in power.
