The JFK Photo That Could Have Changed History

Posted Dec 28th 2009 2:07AM by TMZ Staff

TMZ has obtained a never-before published photograph which appears to show John F. Kennedy on a boat filled with naked women -- it's a photo that could have altered world events.

We believe the photo was taken in the mid-1950s. It shows two naked women jumping off the boat and two more naked women sunning on the top deck. Just below the top deck -- a man appearing to be John F. Kennedy is lying on a deck, sunning himself.

TMZ had multiple experts examine the photo -- all say there is no evidence the picture was Photoshopped. The original print -- which is creased -- was scanned and examined for evidence of inconsistent lighting, photo composition and other forms of manipulation. The experts all concluded the photo appears authentic.

32. I am not saying it is JFK...I am saying....
(as is everyone else on this thread besides you) that is readily believable that the photo was shot in the 1950's. Your claim about the bikini not being invented yet is flat out wrong.

The only thing you have proven here is your own ignorance.

Have a nice day and go study history...you apparently need to.

Because this is the "Bikini" as we knew it in the 1950s

38. You're right. It wasn't invented in 1947; it was invented in 1946
Edited on Mon Dec-28-09 01:03 PM by Individualist
There are many different styles of bikini. The one that officially debuted as the bikini in 1946 was a string bikini, with triangles of fabric covering the breasts and genitals and strings

On Edit: Sorry AnOhioan, you beat me to it.

The bikini was invented in 1946 and named after the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands, the site of atomic bomb testing.

Jacques Heim and Louis Reard - Bikini Inventors
The inventors were two Frenchmen, Jacques Heim and Louis Reard. Of course, Heim and Reard didn't create the idea of the bikini; drawings of bikini-like suits have been found on wall paintings dating back to 1600 B.C.

Rest of article.

35. Got Links -
The Wiki editor even admits he can't properly date this photo

I find this image from Bikini Science. I have tried to find out the picture's copyright status. I believe the picture was taken in 1946, because then the bikini was introduced. And the picture must have been taken in Paris. I don't have any other facts about it. If the picture is still under copyright protection in US, the copyright must have either been renewed in 1974 or restored in the 1990s. So there should be a mention about it in the archives. But I don't know the name of the photographer or the magazine that published the picture, so I don't know what to look for. The Bikini Science doesn't tell its author's e-mail address. That's why I can't contact him, and ask who was the photographer, and where the photograph was published

9. Can't really make out the man's face but even if it was him...
We all know the media back then didn't generally report on the "transgressions" of men in powerful positions and JFK's proclivities have been well documented. Heck, even circa 1988 - 1992 George Bush Sr got away with his affair. It's a brave new world.

Edited on Mon Dec-28-09 12:33 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
First thought... the head looks just like JFK. In fact, it kind of jumps out at you, which is fishy. Set funny on the body... distinctive hair-part looks a little strong.

But what really aroused my suspicion is that the photo itself appears staged... like a commercial picture, not a mere snapshot. No pubes, for one thing. Everyone's legs are going the "right" way... much like all 1950s-mid 1960s saucy pictures.

And where is the photo taken from? A dock? Another boat? Seems funny that JFK cavorted like this at dock-side.

It just looks too much like the photos in cheaper 1955-1965 mens magazines which were full of exposes of European nude bathing and such.

Doesn't mean it's fake, but I see little reason to assume it's real.

Even if not doctored, that's not much image data to identify someone as JFK. Sometimes people look like people.

There is a lot of celebrity-attributed old porn that is just somebody that looks kind of like somebody.
