CIA said "no doubt" an attack would occur in US before PYRO-PANTIES struck airbus

Ex-CIA Operative Warns of Terror Attack – 60 Minutes

December 24, 2009 by national
Henry Crumpton a former CIA operative with the most direct experience fighting al Qaeda on the ground and who predicted the 9/11 attacks has “no doubt” the terrorist organization will strike U.S. soil again and will talk about this and more in an interview on 60 Minutes, Sunday evening.

Henry Crumpton, the ex-CIA mastermind of the war on the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan right after 9/11, also tells 60 Minutes correspondent Lara Logan the U.S. needs to be in Pakistan making deals with locals to fight the Qaeda and Taliban leaders hiding there.

"There will be an attack in the homeland …sadly…I think we’ll be hit again," says Crumpton. Asked by Logan whether he had any doubts, he replies, "None." The former CIA man on the ground in Afghanistan days after 9/11 says the future attack could be greater than the one that killed nearly 3,000 people on September 11, 2001. http://www.nationalterroralert.com/updates/2009/12/24/ex-cia-operative-warns-of-terror-attack-60-minutes/

Terror hero: I didn't hesitate

Last Updated:Mon., Dec. 28, 2009, 02:28pm
"When it went off, everybody panicked ... Then someone screamed, ‘Fire! Fire!"

Schuringa, sitting in seat 20J, in the right-most section of the Airbus 330, looked to his left. "I saw smoke rising from a seat ... I didn’t hesitate. I just jumped," he said.

Schuringa dove over four passengers to reach Abdul Mutallab’s seat. The suspect had a blanket on his lap. "It was smoking and there were flames coming from beneath his legs."

5. Indeed.
I remember an old Bloom County where the mystic predicted "trouble in the Middle East."

If I recall correctly one of the characters said something like "Really? And will there be sand involved?" :D

6. I totally agree but when I posted the OP a few days ago...
Where the CIA operative made the OBVIOUS prediction, I got stuff like this in the thread:
We need to knock out the Taliban Fleet that's threatening Staten Island.
Not to mention the two-headed grizzly bear under the bed.

<“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”

4. Part of me wonders if DHS is a bit peeved at Schuringa for interfering.
:tinfoilhat:

If that rule of not leaving your seat had been in force, Schuringa could not have moved and the plane would have been history.

18. you wouldn't believe me if I told some of the tales we can "not swap."
It all started with my job in the Navy hunting and monitoring Soviet and Chinese Submarines.

See what I mean?

What really scares me is that DC sell-outs are licking their chops waiting to destroy more freedoms like they did with USA Patriot Act 1&2.

24. To be fair, even with hardcore and illegal law enforcement we should be getting hit
fairly regularly if the threat is a quarter of the seriousness portrayed.

It would be naive to think we would not be attacked again.
