Roy Blunt, other GOPers voted AGAINST funding Homeland Security
Rep. Roy Blunt was one of just 37 Republicans in the House who voted against the original spending bill for the Dept. of Homeland Security last June.

The spending bill eventually provided more than $42 billion to the department for emergency response, immigration enforcement -- and "terrorist threat mitigation."

In June, when the House first took up the measure, Blunt joined 36 other GOP members and voted no.

The margin is significant: 139 Republicans voted for the bill, suggesting it had some bipartisan support.

This is important because Blunt is running for US Senate.
