2. Khephra and many others are missed, was going to post something new years eve

Looking back on those we here on DU have lost. If nothing else at least once a year it is good to remember them, and since that is the day mom died I thought it a good idea.

Thank you for posting this tonight, I hope many chime in with the names of those here who have passed on so we can remember together.

a couple weeks ago? Her profile is completely gone, unlike deceased folks such as Khephra.

I personally liked Tangerine LaBamba quite a bit myself, and was surprised to hear she had been tombstoned. If she has indeed passed away, I'm doubly sad.

When you go to her profile through the "Options" method, it is completely gone.

I see nothing in her old posts that would tend to lead to a tombstoning. Strange.

23. I still miss my friend DuctTapeFatwa...

Yeah, okay, so he got banned coz his humour missed its target, but it looks like tombstoned DUers are also included in the ranks of the Missing and Dead. He dropped off the radar totally a while after he was banned from DU and I've never seen or heard from him since. The period between his tombstoning, gravedancing of other DUers, and banning was a longish one, and coz of his age I am really worried that something bad happened to him, like he dropped off the perch. Either that or the Bush administration caught up with him and shipped him off to Gitmo or some third country for a bit of torture...

Every once in a while I think of them and try to search.. Unfortunately, if they were TS'd then their profiles are usually gone...

Others may have left voluntarily... Sad not to know what happened... TahitiNut is a long timer that I really hope will return...

I think Straight Story's plan to do a memorial for those we know to have passed is a good one...I had no idea that Tangerin LaBamba had left us.
