New Deal and the Second Bill of Rights.
So i know this may come across as maybe a pointless post, but this is something I would like to see happen in my lifetime if possible. As I am sure most if not all of you know despite what Republican propaganda says the New Deal did help us get out of the Depression and its polices were continued until the Regan era and created great economic growth and the strongest middle class in our history. So I guess what I am asking is are there any Liberal candidates trying to reinstate New Deal policies which Reagan disbanded? Also what do you all think of a movement to implement FDR's second Bill of Rights? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2nd_Bill_of_Rights?

2. I will develop myself into someone if no one else can do it.
I think a good politician is someone who consults his
constituents and explains to them what good government is and
what is being done with their tax dollars, to the penny,
audited. And then asks if they want to pitch in more for
anything in particular, and I would see to it that those funds
built whatever it was that would be a public good or service.

I want an ethical, logical and passionate world. And
government.

Don't you all? She asks of the ignoring... and the silenced.

3. I would love to see a second Bill of Rights, but right now
we're not even following the first Bill of Rights.

We lost the 4th, 5th and 6th amendments under the USA Patriot Act under Bush/Cheney, and I'm afraid that President Obama isn't doing much to reverse that.

You may have noticed that citizens exercising their constitutional right to free assembly and expression during the G20 Summit in Philadelphia were met with rubber bullets, tear gas and LRAD weapons.

I think there's way too much money in the game. We really don't even have representative government anymore. We just have a ruling economic elite with a political elite keeping the masses under control for them.

It's funny how it's always the left that gets the tear gas, rubber bullets, beanbags, LRAD, beatings and arrests at peaceful protests.
Teabaggers are allowed to tear as much shit up as they like while being heavily armed to boot, but we dare not march down a street in numbers greater than five lest the riot gear come out. Even in areas that are ostensibly under the control of Democrats.

Edited to add: If we're lucky we get "Free Speech Zones", while the right is welcomed with open arms.
