Johnston slammed for Playgirl shoot, Twitter postings

Sarah Palin’s teen daughter will have to fight for full custody of her baby boy against Levi Johnston in open court.

An Alaskan judge revoked the pair's anonymity in court proceedings over the fate of their 1-year-old son Tripp last week, revealing details of the case for the first time, The Associated Press reported.

"I do not feel protected against Sarah Palin in a closed proceeding," Johnston had said in an affidavit, the AP reported. "I hope that if it is open she will stay out of it. Bristol's attorney is her attorney."

Palin filed a petition for sole custody and financial support of Tripp. In court papers, Palin accuses Johnston of having engaged in “sporadic visitation rights,” according to the AP.

Her petition calls Johnston’s recent nude photo shoot with Playgirl “risqué” and demands that Johnston’s mother not be allowed unsupervised visits with the baby.

From what I understand from sources here, Levi is paying child support but the Palins are limiting visitation.

I think they're playing with fire if they start using the Twitter account against Levi, since it was shown to be a fake account. PalinGates and some of the other blogs have Bristol's own MySpace posts from pre-campaign, which tend to show that Bristol is no angel herself.

Before they go any further with this, I think some DNA tests are in order.

I'd love to see the media coverage if Bristol's mother were a Democrat instead of a "moral values" Republican. This story would definitely be in the "politics" section instead of "entertainment."

I get tired of reading about the nutty politicians here. I gotta realize there are crazy politics going on in other states too. :)

Plus, honestly regardless of politics, Mudflats brought to my attention the plight of those in rural areas during the flooding last spring. It was heartbreaking to see people trying to quickly pull their lives back together before the snow started again (and with no help from Gov. Quitter).

And Mudflats always posts beautiful pictures of your great state. I hope to be able to visit one day (during the summer of course, I am from Texas after all). :)

I haven't seen any action by Levi that would indicate he is a danger to the child (abuse, neglect of Bristol or the baby). He posed nude, you say? SFW, that's the same bullshit used against exotic dancers all the time, yet they regularly win custody of their children. I can understand not wanting druggie grandma around the kid, though, but that's not a good enough reason to give sole custody of a child to the mother.
