Blue Dogs Have Their Dem Handlers Too
Like any good doggies, the Rahmdogs have their handlers. The so-called liberals in the House and Senate? They are just the handlers - and enablers. You see, anti-choice and no public option provisions don't seem to bother the Congo-libs much.

"A key pro-choice House Democrat, working on health care in Congress, hinted on Monday that said she might be willing to support the Senate's abortion language.
Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) who has been tasked by leadership with helping hammer out a compromise on abortion between the two chambers, said she was not thrilled with either the House or Senate legislation's provisions. But in an interview with the Huffington Post, the Connecticut Democrat did say she would support the Senate's version of abortion-related language provided that she could confirm her belief that it did not go beyond current law.

This is why there are Blue Dogs and New Dems. How can this woman be called a "key pro-choice Dem" when all she wants to do is sell out? This is why NO Dems are worthy of votes in '10 and '12. This is so typical of the veal pen - the congressional one. Gotta do the best we can? Bullshit. And of course the gang that "promised" no law without a public option? What are they signalling?

"Two House Democrats who favor a government insurance plan, a central element of health care legislation passed in their chamber, acknowledged Sunday it might have to be sacrificed as negotiators work out a final agreement with the Senate.
Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina, the No. 3 Democrat in the House and one who had appealed to President Barack Obama not to yield on the public plan, set out conditions for yielding himself.
Asked during rounds on the Sunday news shows whether he could vote for a final bill that does not embrace a public plan, Clyburn said: "Yes, sir, I can."

I am so proud that Obama is finally "stepping it" to get 'er done. Pfffft
