Chris Jansing (MSNBC) just stated underwear terrorist's struggle "between liberalism and extremism"
were reflected in his website musings. Huh? A struggle between the secular and fundamentalist religious ideas would be more accurate, but the labels she gave were out of line.

1. Well, seems liberalism isn't extreme
Those do seem worthless labels for this case, but it isn't like she said liberalism is equal to extremism.

2. A 'briefs' struggle?
Or, perhaps, a 'boxers' rebellion.

11. And who invented that weird canal in the briefs?
Go left for two inches. Enter. Turn right for three inches, then pop out? Ouch!

9. No, Jansing is actually quite good and not given to political extremes.
And I don't say that just because she's from my home county.

She's done some good specials for MSNBC and decent coverage of special events. She strikes me as being an intelligent reporter who sticks to the facts and just doesn't get a lot of airtime because she hasn't deliberately cultivated an image for herself but tends to take a backseat to the news. You know, the way old-fashioned reporters used to in the good old days. She kind of stays in the background and presents the story.

7. Liberalism is assumed to be secular --Just ask any conservative.
Religious Conservatives are rabidly ant-secularism.

Bin Ladin --spiritual Leader of Al Qeda--preeches the
most Fundamentalist form of Islam.

8. those were his words, not hers - referring to how strictly to hold onesself to religious ideals
It's quoted from his internet postings.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34618228/ns/us_news-washington_post/

He also wrote of his "dilemma between liberalism and extremism" as a Muslim. "The Prophet (S) said religion is easy and anyone who tries to overburden themselves will find it hard and will not be able to continue," he wrote in 2005. "So anytime I relax, I deviate sometimes and then when I strive hard, I get tired of what I am doing i.e. memorising the quran, etc. How should one put the balance right?"
