Spokeswoman: Former Bush adviser's split decided 'mutually and amicably'

Karl Rove, the Republican strategist who served as a top aide to former president George W. Bush, and his wife of 24 years have divorced.

A spokeswoman said Tuesday that Rove and his wife, Darby, were granted a divorce last week.

The couple "came to the decision mutually and amicably and they maintain a close relationship and a strong friendship," said family spokeswoman Dana Perino in a statement. "There will be no further comment and the family requests that its privacy be respected

Why of course, that is how matters that are personal and private should be dealt with. Right, Karl?

If Rove even got whiff that the wife said something about him to her best friend
she'd probably have a fatal "accident".

3. I'm sure he did so he could spend more time with his family
Oh wait! That's what they say when they leave public life. I guess the divorce happened because he was spending too much time with them.

4. You can have it both ways Karl: privacy for you but drag eveyone else into the mud.
What a joke this monster is. His failure in marriage is magnified by his failure to act as a human being when he collected tax payer money as salary to screw Americans. No wonder he got a divorce: seeing as how he screwed so many Americans. This monster has Tiger Woods beat as a serial adulterer.

9. Just another example of the law of unintended consequences.
Edited on Tue Dec-29-09 04:28 PM by Kutjara
Due to the Obama administration's relaxation of rules governing stem cell research, scientists quickly made important breakthroughs in regenerating damaged retinal tissue. Mrs. Rove was one of the earliest beneficiaries: her nearly total blindness was cured. When the bandages came off, the first thing she did was turn to look at her husband. The second thing she did was call her divorce lawyer.

21. I seen a picture of her once and I think she looks like his sister
not a wife. I know he susposedly has a son and I've seen a picture of him and he doesn't look like him at all so I wonder if there was ever a marriage there or if it wasn't as phony as the rest of the bushco pigfarm up is down world was. Who was jeffy boy visiting so many times over night at the bush white house? Does that have anything to do with this I wonder?
