Why all the media coverage on what is happening in Iran and Venezuela.
Seems like I hear as much about these two countries as I do about Iraq and Afghanistan.

Are Iran and Venezuela perfect? Hell no. Are we? Well, seeing that we invaded a country for the purpose of WMD, where there were none, my answer would be, probably not.

Now we have all of this news regarding the protests in Iran with the so called "pro-reformers". Gee, I wonder who decided to give them that name? I sure the hell didn't. For all I know, if these folks were some how able to come to power, they could be ten times more radicalized and unstable than the current government in Iran.

And while all of is going on, there are probably 20 other conf;cts going on in the world where our news media, and the powers that be, could pick a side and call them freedom fighers or pro-democracy movements or pro-reformists and then we could get constant reports in our media about those countries, but we don't, do we?

And another damn thing, didn't our news media call the Taliban (called the Mujahadine in the 1970's), freedom fighers, when they were going up against the Soviet Union).

Make no mistake about it, we are being conditioned by our corporate media and the power brokers who see it in there best interest for the USA to eventually go to war with Venezuela and Iran (I suspect natural resources has something to do with it). I really don't see us invading the Congo or Sadaan any time soon. Huh, I wonder why?

It's just a hell of a lot easier to go to war with a country after you have spent years upon years deamonizing them. Our corporate media, along with their corporate sponces decide what to cover and what spin to put on it. And the sad fact is that ultimately determines what we will be talking about in our day to day conversations.

For me, it's real simple. It's a setup.

The only suggestion that I can give is this, QUESTION AUTHORITY and don't be hating too much, regardless if it's Bush or Obama telling you who are enemies will be this day.

1. So we understand why we must now fight in Iran, because the people are fighting for freedom....

2. Exactly. And the fact that Iran is sitting on one of the largest oil deposits in the world, well, I
am absolutely sure that has noting to do with it. Just sure coincidence.

:sarcasm:
