Remember when the Democratic Party sold itself and legislated as a party of new ideas?
Employee Free Choice Act. A great new idea.

Repeal of "Free Trade". A great new idea.

Single Payer. A great new idea.

Peace. A foreign concept but still a great idea.

A living wage. A great new idea.

Affordable housing and an end to for-profit housing. Unheard of but still a great new idea.

Progressive taxation. A great new idea.

Ending poverty in the so-called wealthiest nation on Earth. A great idea.

A balanced budget and an end to deficit spending. Bill Clinton showed us the formula for balancing a budget. Apparently, Dems forgot. Once again, the concept of a balanced budget is a new idea that deserves a look.

Instead Obama and Dem leadership have chosen to..

Warmonger. Status Quo.

Continue of our disastrous Middle East policy. Status Quo.

Be puppets of corporate America. We needed reformers and got more of the same, followers instead of leaders. Controlled by their masters. Status Quo.

Pro-Free Traders, Union-busters, SerfDems. Obama, Pelosi, and Reid will go down in history as the Dems that let the middle class die in front of their eyes. Status Quo.

Following the policies of the Bush regime. We elected them to undo the damage that Bushco created. Instead Obama has given his ringing endorsement of Bushco's policies. Status Quo.

Democratic leadership sold it's soul to corporate America. The middle class and poor are paying the price.

When they sold their souls, they forgot the concept of the new idea.

Tell us Obama, Pelosi, and Reid how much will it cost to buy back your loyalty from your corporate puppetmasters?

1. yeah, well
You can blame the leaders, fer sure. But lets not forget that the American public has gone of the deep end. All that ''sell their souls'' stuff can be pointed directly at the public as a whole.

3. government exists to maintain the status quo.
Edited on Wed Dec-30-09 11:50 AM by WT Fuheck
that's its job.

Over the last fifty years, enough politicians were bought off to gradually shift the status quo radically in favor of a few wealthy families. It is now Obama's job to protect their status.
