4. Great Show Tonite

I and clearly she is looking forward to 2010. Maybe there is a clip of the credits at the end of the show, complete with photos of some very smart young people who are gelling into a great unit!!! The show is getting real good which is actually a difficult task because of the double Tweety (sounds like some sort of dive) Big Eddie's show and of course KO pretty doing many of the same stories we have heard about on the aforementioned shows. Somehow, she keeps us there ( she thanks us staying in her nighty handoff from KO) and not only keeps us there but gets ALL OVER SOME OF SAME SAME STUFF but differently and lots of times wayyyy better than what we have already seen or heard previously that day/night...

5. Rachel is awesome when she focuses on reporting

over punditry. Big Ed and Keith have the punditry stuff down pretty well on their shows. Rachel doesn't do as well with it. Her investigative pieces have been amazing lately and she has been fantastic on Meet The Press. I only watch it now when she is on. I'd love to see some of her work brought over to Dateline and give it better mainstream exposure.

6. She converted my neighbor

First off, this neighbor once told me that Fox News would never lie or distort the news. Why? Because, he said it was against the law. Ha!

I was able to change his mind on that one.

One evening Rachel began her segment by explaining the history behind that evening's discussion. My neighbor felt some of what she said was hard to believe. Once Rachel was done, she turned to her guest and asked if he would like to make any corrections to her facts. Unhappily, he did not.

The discussion (I forget what it was about) got pretty cantankerous. The guest tried to avoid answers, and tried to change the subject. Rachel wasn't having any of that, and kept him focused.

When the discussion was over, my neighbor was impressed with Rachel, and said he hadn't seen anything like that since Lou Gordon down in Detroit back in the 60s!

FYI: Lou Gordon was an informed & tough interviewer. He was like a drill boring into his rattled guests. In '67 George Romney blew his presidential chances by slipping up, telling Lou he (Romney) had been brainwashed during his last visit to Viet Nam. He went from pro-war to anti-war. Google it, the interview is on You Tube.

Anyway, neighbor and his wife are now Rachel fans, too. And, they don't watch Fox anymore either! Horray!

7. I had stopped watching Rachel because I was tired of her snipes against..

Obama. I have started back watching for a week now, and I have been pleasantly surprised. Her rhythm is better and she hasn't been bashing the Prez. If she keeps this up, she will have regained me as a viewer.
