Patriotism....from the Penn and Teller viewpoint

I've been trying to catch up on the P&T Bullshit series, and found one that a lot of people might want to watch. It's from season 5, and is about patriotism and Mt. Rushmore. I know that they are libertarians, but that's all right: the episode focuses on what makes the US, the nation many of us call home a decent concept, and even gives cretins like Rush, Beck, etc. the same freedoms we all like to think we get.

It is entertainment, that pretends to be documentary. And it is not very entertaining.


Here is the model: Prop up a couple straw man people who represent a tiny irrelevant fraction of the population. Highly edit their interviews, take segments out of context, omit important facts, and attack them without offering rebuttal.

Follow this up by taking people who agree with them and prop them up. Refuse to question their statements, accepting them at face value.
