Rick, Rush and the Karma Train
I too get fed up with the haters and baiters. However, there is a truism here that if you wish personal ill on somebody, it will in all probability bounce back at you. Personal ill wishes seem to me to be negative thoughts that just bounce around and smack whoever. I can't help myself sometimes either though.

I AM NOT talking about sitting idly by and letting those muggs run rampant. Fighting their hate on every level is imperative. The 'let them run their mouths and self-destruct' school of thought doesn't appeal to me. When the public is truly scared about terror or the economy there is no guarantee that the message that the Rethugs are flaming hypocrites will get through to people.

I have learned from looooong experience dealing with those loons that the worse thing you can do is let them get up a head of steam. They suck all the air out of the room and get the attention from the effing MSM who wouldn't point out a blatant contradiction if it flip-flopped them in the face. I say smack them in the mouth rhetorically. Hard. Don't name call. Just stick to the facts which are plentiful. We cede the airwaves to their nonsense, and in effect, we cede communication with the American public. They probably think the Rethugs are the only ones that care even if they are idiots.

When it comes to the personal, I know the Karma Train is going to hit those people, and it won't be pretty. Rush and Rick have been already run down once. Rush is in the hospital, and Rick is begging for money. I think the Karma Train isn't through. I also have a Karma Train, and I am under no illusions that I will be spared. Fate drives it. We just load and unload it with our actions.

The problem is that we so want to see the collision. 'What goes around, comes around.' The corollary is that we want to BE AROUND when it happens. There's no guarantee of that. I avoid a lot of agita by trying to be content to know that it will happen. The Karma Train always rolls on.

As far as this decade goes, MEH! My Mama used an old saying that I just loathed. "This too shall pass." My rejoinder was that why did it have to feel like a kidney stone.

I will be trying to get the New Year off to a good start by eating Hoppin John and greens. Those are for good luck and money. Here's to you and yours. Enjoy the new day and the new start. Hope springs eternal. I hope that there is an industrial strength coil under it.

1. Don't buy the karma stuff at all.
What we call luck or karma is just randomness that sometimes goes our way and sometimes doesn't. It's not Karma that got Rush, it's drugs and bad food and cigars.

And if I'm wrong may God strike me dea....

7. Same to you for the New Year!
I was trapped in SC without a computer when mine crapped out on Christmas. Gah! What an experience.

4. Someone Mention My Name?
There's a lot more to riding this train than vengeance.
